Little park

There is a small park behind our building with little hills and small trees.
I usually go there to find branches on the ground
for my clay projects.
The trees have deep red fruits, like miniature pomegranates.
Do you know what the name of this tree is?

It looks like a crabapple tree to me. we had them in our yard growing up. In the spring they bloom with beautiful pink/purple flowers.

So beautiful...
Have you tried to open one of these fruits, to see if the inside is more like a pomegranate or an apple?
It might be some kind of dwarf pomegranate, not sure :D

I think your sister is right! I have seen such trees in Bulgaria, only they are bigger and the fruits are bigger, too. You can check in Google...:)

I was going to say crabapple too. You should take one and cut it open. Beautiful pictures! ♥

This is my first time here and I must say I admire your work. I found you through etsy, and I love all your prints. The maternity ones are one of my favourites.
Oh, and about that tree, we call that fruit GRANADA here in Argentina, I really don´t know the translation for it, it could be crabapple, I´m not sure.

In my country they call it: Paradise apple :)
It's for birds, not for people :) Very beautiful though!
