2011 Giclee Calendar + Vacation!

Here is the final product, very similar to last year's packaging.
Now you can find this calendar in my shop.

I will be on vacation from October 1st through 20th.
I'm going to visit my sister and grandma
in Tehran :)

I left my shop open for you to look, browse and buy.
However if you make a purchase your package will
be shipped after I come back, which means
1-4 business days after October 20th.

Here are the changes I made to the cards :)

I've made these berry branches with natural branch, polymer clay and velvet powder.
I've glued the berries to the branches after baking them.

November . Peaceful Dove

A peaceful dove and a starry night for November.

I was experimenting with my cork board last night. There is a special joy in making collage
on it.

II'm working on the last card right now. Actually I am going to make a new February card

and the current February will be January and the polka dot birdie will be
November! I'll show you soon ;)

October . Yellow-billed Magpie

The first thing that comes to my mind for October is harvest.
So here is a colorful pumpkin harvest with a little curious magpie :)

Orange objects from our window

There is a tree in our neighbourhood that loves autumn more than other trees!
It gets orange much sooner than others and it looks gorgeous among all the green trees!
A few weeks ago moon was rising, I passed by the window and got stunned by its amazing orange color! I really don't know what makes the moon look this orange...how about you?

August . Flamingos

A flamingo family for August.
I really didn't know that flamingos has many different kinds!
Mine are somehow imaginary :) Watercolor on 8.5"x11" paper.

Cozy nest . April

The April's calendar card I painted a caring birdie, a cozy nest
and little blue eggs :)

The archival print of this my watercolor painting is now available
in JooJoo shop.
I framed the original painting in a square mat for our home,
I'm going to pair it with "Cherry Blossoms" painting.
I'll show you the final results when I hang them on the wall!

Things that make me happy!

A while ago I received an e-mail in Etsy from a Canadian photographer:

"Hi - came across your shop. LOVE your illustrations.
I especially love the mermaid mother and child
(it reminds me of myself and my daughter, Lilah)."

I looked at her photo and couldn't stop smiling! My God,
they both look like my illustration characters a LOT!
Don't you think so?

She asked me to do an illustration for her future website/Blog.
I did this illustration with pen on paper and colored it digitally
in Photoshop.

Cherry Blossoms . March

Cherry blossoms for March and beginning of spring!

I original illustration has a lovely blue background, but to be consistent
I used white background for the calendar card. This is the print of my
watercolor illustration. Now it's available in my print shop.
