Snails 15 and 16 out of 33.
Acrylic paint on polymer clay + Natural yellow Cuban snail shell + Natural land snail shell
I thought you may like to see some "In progress" photos.
I always outline with a pencil and then start painting with acrylics.

* The yellow shell was a gift from my brother Ali, a souvenir from Cuba.

Your snails are the best!!
ReplyDeleteyou have a unique style and you re one of the most creative polymer clay artists I've seen so far!
ReplyDeleteso wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWow, wonderful! How did you make the polymer clay have such a porcelain look? Matte spray?
ReplyDeleteOtherwise Im highly impressed :)
Thanks a lot for your lovely comments!! :o)
ReplyDeleteMisstymountains: Thanks a lot dear! :o) I haven't used any finish on polymer clay. All you need to do is to soften the surface gently with your fingers to get rid of finger prints and then bake the clay. When you soften the surface it will get extra shiny, but when it comes out of the oven it will be perfectly matte.
Your snails are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love everything you do! They are so beautiful, peaceful and happy!
