In concert

This Staurday me, my husband Suma and my brother Ali
went to Shadmehr's concert, an Iranian pop singer.
I always loved his music and it was so fun to see him in person
and watch him singing and playing live!
We took a photo with his violin at the end of the night.

Before the concert, Suma and me.
Here is under the CN tower!

This is Ali my brother.
He plays 3 musical instruments :) Waiting for the concert to start...

You can watch one of Shadmehr's video clips here.
I hope you enjoy!

Grey walls

We painted our bedroom walls grey a few weeks ago.
I like the contrast it makes with the white/bright objects.
This weekend my mom got these little ceramics for me
from China Town!

I want to use them for jewelry photos.
There are 6 more of them :)

I also wanted to thank you for the sweet comments you left
for my "Mommy and 7 chicks" illustration!

Moon over the frozen city

Today was a very cold day, -14°C but feels like -23°C
usually I walk to post office and it takes only 10 minutes.
Although I was wearing many layers like an onion
but I still found it so hard to get there...
But I love Toronto, it's a beautiful city with lots of sunny days! :)

Rays of light

The sky was so beautiful the other day.
Sun was shining through the clouds and
rays of light could be seen very clearly.

Currently I am working on a calendar project and it takes
most of my time. Soon I'll share its photos with you!
.
I also wanted to thank you all dear friends for the kind
comments that you leave for me. I really appreciate them.

My little garden

I took these photos of my little garden last week.
Those 3 little cute cactuses are my birthday gifts
from my brother :)
And you can see that the far left cactus is still growing!
It is much bigger compared to some weeks ago.

Here is Miniature Jade bonsai.
I wish it grows like this one---> (Click this link to see)

I am currently working on a new watercolor painting.
It's called cactus garden. I'll show it to you in my
next posts.

A cactus story

Hi everyone! I don't know if you remember my cactus or not but
I bought a cactus last year and it was living happily here!
But some months ago something went wrong with the orange
head and unfortunately it got dried :(
But the body was ok and I was taking care of it.
.
After some time it started to grow from the side!
It looks like this right now! With 3 roots on it and
I have no idea that what I should do about it!!!?
.
I fear it will become too heavy.
I don't know if I need to cut it off and plant it separately?
.
Thank you for reading my cactus story :)

Halifax, Nova Scotia

I'm here again in Toronto!
I miss you guys!!!
We've been to Halifax for visiting my
husband's parents.
.

Halifax is in the province of Nova Scotia,
located in Canada's southeastern coast.
. A very calm city with beautiful nature.
Here I'm taking our photo is a ship's window..

Here is close to Point Pleasant Park, a large park
at the southern tip of Halifax peninsula.

It was actually cold and although
I was wearing warm but I was still feeling cold!
Here is my husband Suma,
It was Thursday afternoon, weather was warm and nice
and we went for a walk. .
The same day in the morning.
Here is a harbor in Lower Water Street.
Water was so blue that day, more like
navy blue but it doesn't show in the photo.

Lake Ontario

Last weekend we went to the beach.
It was so relaxing and the weather was great
Cool breeze and warm sunshine.
We had a good time collecting some colorful pebbles
And soaking our feet in cool and refreshing water.
I wish summer was not this short :)
Another weekend is coming soon.
Wish you a great one!

My 7 Sîn

Here is my 7 Sîn! It doesn't look the best, especially with my
grass(Sabzeh) that bald! But I still love it!

Haft Sîn (Persian: هفت سین) or the seven 'S's is a major tradition
of Nowruz, the traditional Iranian new year.
The haft sin table includes seven items specifically starting
with the letter S or Sîn (س in the
Persian alphabet).
The items symbolically correspond to seven creations and
holy immortals protecting them.

(This text is part of an article in Wikipedia, to read the whole article click here)

I wish you a lovely spring!
Thank you for visiting :)

Sunrise in Toronto

Some days ago I opened my eyes in the morning and saw
that the apartment was filled with a very beautiful orange light.
So I took a photo of sunrise immediately.
This is the view of east of Toronto.

And here are our shelves.
Those gorgeous fruits are handmade by lovely Ginny!
