Gouache bird

A little gouache painting. I find it hard to scan gouache.

The surface is much rougher than watercolor and in scan it creates an unwanted pattern.

 This is a photo taken using my iPhone.

Purple potatoes

Have you ever seen purple potatoes?

 This is the first time I see potatoes that actually have purple flesh, not just the skin.

 My sister got them from farmers market.

 They taste like regular potatoes, but are very high in anti oxidants!

Fabric thumbtacks

I made some push pins using fabric covered buttons. They are very easy to make.

 All you need is some fabric scraps, covered button kit, tie tack pins and E6000 glue.

I found a good tutorial for the magnet version here.
