Getting ready

These days I am pretty busy with preparing for The National Stationery Show.
Only 10 days to the date we leave for New York and I feel I totally underestimated the amount of work that was left to do :D Wish me luck!

Here are bits of pieces of my catalog shoot from a few days ago and the second photo shows my notepads in their packaging. I am very happy with how these notepads turned out. They come in 6 different floral designs.

Follow me on Instagram for more photos and behind the scenes!
See you soon guys!

Old world

These days I find inspiration in the old-world. I love to use their design elements or
color palettes and come up with a fresh twist on them.

Bird of Paradise

A few favorites.
I pressed those yellow flowers about 10 years ago,
they have extra long red stamens and yellow petals and are gorgeous when fresh.

I just googled and found out that their name is "Caesalpinia Gilliesii"!!
According to Wikipedia they are native to tropical America, mainly Argentina and Uruguay.
But I got them from Iran.

Birdie is a pencil doodle and I Photoshopped it there.

What I found inside a fortune cookie
a little watercolor doodle I did while talking to my mom on the phone.

Mermaid on the map

This little mermaid is holding a sparkler which I still haven't finished painting

I have to confess that 80% of the time I paint in the kitchen.
Our kitchen is small but has a relatively big counter which
is perfect for spreading stuff all over it.

This is a fun invitation that I'm making for my upcoming Trade show
(The National Stationery Show).
