Tuesday, July 28, 2009 = All About JooJoo!

Hi everyone!
Today I'm very excited to announce my new web address:
Sweet 'n Short!!!
I guess now it's much easier for everyone to visit my blog! :)

JooJoo means a birdie in Persian ,
especially it's used for little yellow chicks.
2 years ago I had gone to the beach with Suma and
he found this heart shaped stone there. He asked
me to paint myself on it, and I painted us instead!

I've used gouache and then sealed it after that.
I used this illustration for my wedding invitations too!
I made all of our wedding invitations myself!
Including favors and my cake topper!
I will blog about them soon!
Thank you for visiting,
It's always a pleasure having you here!

Snails 8/33 and 9/33

The project of 33 snails is progressing at a snail pace :)
I have a lot of lovely ideas for the other snails
and can't wait to make them all!
This time my inspiration for my snails was lace.
You can read about the history of lace here in Wikipedia.
And don't miss this wonderful lace inspired fence!

I've called these collections of objects
"Objects and harmony"
They are mostly arranged based on my snails' colors.
This is the second in the series

Illustration Friday: Hollow . My hollow heart grew whole

For this week of Illustration Friday I was inspired
by beautiful lyrics from a song called Ivory Rose:
The love I found in your sapphire eyes is nestled into my soul
In the kisses of your ruby mouth my hollow heart grew whole
And came to know the touch that sows desire, a flower of fire
that grows and burns my pride to cinders,
how I love you, Ivory rose.

Relaxing and having bamboos!

Did you know that there are very special species of
pandas in JooJoo Land that are not just black and
white? Then let me introduce PanPan and Pandie to you!
They spend most of their time relaxing in bamboo forests
of JooJoo Land.
99% of their diet is bamboo and 1% of it is chocolate ice
cream with white chocolate icing!
PanPan is a kind of bear that always smiles
but Pandie is a little bit serious.
These little pastel pandas are up in my shop.
Thank you for stopping by! :)
It's always a pleasure reading your lovely comments!

Three little birdies

Today is one of the most beautiful summer days of
JooJoo Land, the weather is not so hot and a very
pleasant cool breeze brings the smell of salt water
and fresh grass. The white sand of JooJoo Land is
warm and the three little birdies love to go on a
picnic in such a day.
Their names are, Fuchsie, Tealie and little pea.
Fuchsie loves pink so much, and she is so happy
that her feathers are pink, and her favorite flower
is rose.
Tealie loves the color of ocean, teal and aqua
blue and her favorite fruit is tangerine.
Little pea loves all the colors and all the fruits
and he is very good in telling jokes and making
his friends laugh!
Thank you for your interest in these birdies story!
You can find them here in my shop.

Recently I was also working on some terrarium darlings!
These are cute little orange trees with tiny oranges.

Here is my little orchard!
Sand in Ikea container :)
I've made the orange tree and tiny oranges from
polymer clay.
