Peacock in progress

Just wanted to share the progress of my watercolor peacock with you!

    I could never quite master the technique, is there a book that you would recommend to learn the basics ? I don't think I'll ever measure up to you but that would be great on my Chritmas list :)

    Other than that you need to have good watercolor, it really makes a big difference and makes it much easier to paint. I use "Windsor" and "Schmincke", either will be great.

  9. about this time last year, i bought some acryllic paint thinking that I pick up painting again. they are still unopened but you are inspiring me to perhaps start again... it's lovely!
