Illustration Friday - Chicken

I did this illustration in the first few months that I had come to Canada.
It's done with acrylic colors on a piece of cardboard.
.
I had brought all of my acrylic paints with me from Iran, but no paper... and
as a new immigrant I had no idea where I could find art papers and supplies.
*sigh*

  1. What a nice surprise!:0) First of all - I like your iluustration veeeery much! Such a tender hug! Secondly - you had the necessity to draw and as we can see, art can be created not only on a clean sheet of paper!:)

  3. Awww... I remember the time when I was a new immigrant in Canada. This illustration has totally awaked that feelings of vulnerability and uncertainty. Did you have it too?
