This smoothie has been my breakfast for the last few days and I like it!
Ingredients:
Frozen strawberries + Frozen blueberries + a teaspoon of raw honey + half a cup of quick oats + A cup of milk + two spoons of plain yogurt. I cook oatmeal and milk in microwave for 90 seconds first and then make a smoothie in blender with all those ingredients, and I top it with bananas and apricots!! An easier and more enjoyable way to eat oatmeal! YUM!
ps. This was my mom's idea!! hehe!
I'm adding oats to my smoothies too, but I never thought of cooking them first. Your mom had a great idea :) I guess they are so much more creamier :) I love almonds in smoothies too, and the blender does a good job at chopping them :)
ReplyDeleteYou wont believe it, I'm eating oatmeal and milk for breakfast the past few days too! My version: milk,oatmeal,small slices of apple and bannana,honey,Walnuts, plus little bites of ginger :D
