Magnolia

Here is the finished painting!
Watercolor on paper
7.5" x 7.5"
I was planning to do another bird painting to go well with "Cherry Blossoms" and
"Cozy nest" painting, so that I can frame them as a trio set.
.
Here is our den/dining room and now the wall is not naked anymore :)
You can find the archival print of these three painting in my Etsy shop.
Hope you have a great week friends!

  8. I am drawing a Magnolia myself now and because of that I see how you have played with the colours. The leaves of your Magnolia are snow white, while the reddish background and the beak of the little birdie is the colour of the heart of the Magnolia. Really nicely done.

  9. I love your color palette! Sunset lights in the background, that's what I see in it. So natural , so romantic and colorful. The bird's pose reminds me of classic artworks of Renaissance period.
