snails 13/33 & 14/33

Snails 13 and 14 out of 33
I've painted them with acrylic colors.
The tree is a natural branch and the fruits are made of polymer clay and velvet powder.
The little cloud is made of metallic papers in blue and gold, chain and Blue Topaz drops.

Hope you have a great day + Friday & weekend! :)

Work in progress

I am working on snails 13 and 14 from my "33 snails" project.
The inspiration for these snails is a Korean historical drama that I'm watching called "Yi San".
The colors that they use in their paintings, clothes and decoration always draw my
attention. Love all things oriental! I'll show you the finished snails soon :)

Have a great week friends!

Sketchbook

From my sketchbook.
{ Micro pen . Watercolor . Colored pencils . Gouache . stickers . Washi tape . Stamp }

I have used some fun transparent stickers in this one, the balloons on top and
the leaves of the tree on the bottom of the right page. You can find them in
many Etsy shops.
I love using metallic gouache! I took the photo in an angel that they shine :)
Some pressed leaves and flowers that I've collected over the years and new
Canadian stamps.

Pinterest

I'm sure that many of you already know about this wonderful website
called "Pinterest". It's a virtual pinboard and lets you organize and share
all the beautiful things you find on the web. This is my favorite website
these days...a great way to feed your creativity.

Enjoy and have a restful weekend :)

Story of a seed

A little watercolor illustration I did for the story of an adventurous seed called "Sea Heart",
a seed that travels in rivers and oceans to find a perfect home.
A few years ago when I was in Mexico for vacation, I found a heart shaped object on the beach and I had no idea what it was, maybe a wired sea creature or a shell?
Just recently my friend Sarah Melling told me about a beautiful illustrated book called
"A seed in sleepy" and when I got the book from our local library I found a picture of the
heart shaped object in it! WOW! It was a seed! A big and cute one!
Here are some more pages of the same book. I really enjoyed reading about seeds
and looking at the gorgeous illustrations.
Thank you Sarah!

Hope you have a wonderful Monday friends!
