Golden tree . Sketchbook

Golden tree. My new sketchbook pages that I did last week.
I've used: Micron 005 pen in brown, watercolors, colored pencils and Gold gouache.

It took me a few days to finish the whole thing which was relaxing like zen meditation.
A little bit at a time.

Hope your last days of 2014 are going great :o)

Pieces of autumn

"Autumn is second spring when every leaf is a flower."
Albert Camus

Just wanted to share a few photos that I took during the months of autumn.
It's a beautiful season in Canada.

How about your city?

Meet our cats

Meet our new cats, Felfeli and Boma!
They are a pair of brother and sister and are one and a half years old!
We adopted them 3 weeks ago. The sister (Felfeli) was very friendly and comfortable from day one,
but Boma is a very shy guy.
He was hiding under the bed, in the tub, under the sofa,...you name it!
Now he is a bit better, he comes out and plays with his sister and we can pet him a little bit.

 Boma in his hideout :D

Felfeli, she is the sweetest!

DIY How to color your own map tacks

I love map tacks. How about you?
Unfortunately I couldn't find that many lovely colors in the market.
Most of the ones I found were primary colors. Then one night I dreamt of
a whole lot of map tacks in adorable pastel colors. Haha! That sounds silly but
when I woke up I was still thinking about that dream...and then I decided
to color my own map tacks using nail polish!

Aren't they adorable?
All you need is two flat nose pliers, some white map tacks and some nail polish colors
(I have a big collection of nail polish. Some are from 15 years ago!!!)

Hope you enjoy and have fun trying this little DIY project!

Heezome . My parents Etsy shop

Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna introduce a fresh Etsy shop to you, but it's not my shop this time;
It's actually my parents shop! The whole story started from the time that I asked my dad if he can
make some tiny shadow boxes for me. Because I couldn't find them anywhere else.
And voilĂ ! Heezome shop was born at that time.
 Hope you enjoy!

I used these small shadow boxes for my kokeshi dolls.
A dream come true for me!

And I think painted stones look great displayed in them.
I will blog about my new painted stones very soon.

The prettiest way to display little treasures, travel souvenirs, miniatures,..Don't you think so?

DIY How to make bow shoes

I always have a challenge finding comfortable shoes and when I find them they are not
as cute as I want them to be. So I thought why not spice up the boring shoes myself?
I used some cool lace ribbon and beads for these comfy flats,
and I love how they turned out!

Ribbon from Mokuba.

Orchid blooms

My orchid plant finally bloomed after a very long time! It's a great feeling!
At first I thought it's growing another root, but it turned out to be a flower spike!
This orchid was a lovely gift from a dear friend.
Now these flowers remind me of her :o)

My new key chain

I made myself a key chain using a kit from Kiriki Press.
The only change that I made to the original kit was a little ribbon that I added on top for hanging.
I love embroidery but I hadn't done it since I was in high school! Now I feel refreshed.
